ADME SERVICES

LAB Research Canada opened a state-of-the-art GLP-compliant metabolism laboratory.  This new service offers Preclinical Metabolism investigations designed to assess absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) of new chemical entities to support drug discovery, safety evaluation, and clinical development programs.

Dedicated analytical laboratory with specific accommodation for :
   Tissue processing, digestion and/or combustion
   Preparation of radiolabeled formulations
   Imaging (autoradiography
   Restricted access facilities
   Dedicated animals rooms for radiolabeled handling
   Redundant systems

      Beta (Tri-Carb® 2910 TR)
      Gamma (Wizard2 2470)
 Oxidizer (Packard 307 – phasing in 2009)
 Homogenizers (Stomacher, Polytron, Pestle-driven models)
 Dialyzers (Phasing in 2010)

Staff

 Lab Manager with over 15 + years experience in ADME
 Sr. Supervisory Laboratory staff (over 15 years experience in ADME)
 Sr. Technical Laboratory staff (over 6 years experience in ADME)
 Support of over 100 well-trained animal tech staff
 Mature study management with over 30 years of combined experience in ADME

 Mass Balance (rodents) including CO2 collection
 Excretion Balance (dogs and monkeys)

 Entero-hepatic recirculation (rodents)
 Quantitative Tissue Distribution and tissular PK (digestion method – phasing in 2009)
